NY Zipline Tours

New York Zipline Tours - The Catskills are home to the longest, highest, and fastest zipline canopy tour in North America and second largest zip line in the world. However, if you're looking for something a little less extreme NY Zipline Tours offers options that are tamer but still just as fun. The zip lines are open year round. 30 minutes each way

Howe Caverns - First discovered in the early 1800’s Howe Caverns is a 3,000 foot long series of passage ways and galleries complete with stalagmites, stalactites and even an underground river and lake.  1 hour each way

Zoom Flume Water Park - New York’s #1 Family Water Park offers fun and excitement for all ages. 20 minutes each way

Discovery Zoo & Bailiwick Ranch - Whether you want to enjoy the catskill mountains on a guided horseback tour, admire a wide range of exotic and domestic animals or mingle in the petting zoo Bailiwick has it all. 10 minutes each way

Bailiwick Paintball - Bailiwick offers a 5 acre wooded playing field complete with bunkers, blinds and structures; complete equipment rentals. 10 minutes each Way

Saratoga Casino and Race Way - The famed saratoga racetrack! During summer months you can show your horse racing expertise by placing dollar bets (or larger if you like) on the races while the neighboring casino offers the best in slot machines and video gaming year round. 1 hour 20 minutes each way

Baseball Hall of Fame - Whether you are a die hard fan or a casual supporter the exhibits in the museum are certain to leave you in awe. Each July the legends of the game meet here for the baseball hall of fame induction ceremony. White Water Rafting- During the summer months the nearby Esopus Creek provides some of the best white water rafting Upstate New York has to offer. Tubes and safety equipment are available for rent. - 45 minutes each way

Kayaking - We are a short drive from both the Hudson River as well as North & South Lake State Park both of which offer kayak and canoe rentals. 25 minutes each way 

Sightseeing

Kaaterskill Falls - This two tiered waterfall is one of the tallest in the eastern United States and was the subject of many famous american painters and writers. Its natural beauty simply cannot be overstated. 25 minutes each way

Kaaterskill Water Falls

North and South Lake - This state park boasts two impressive connected lakes with kayak & canoe rentals as well as a large beach area and several BBQ pits. If you are feeling brave we do offer a hiking trail from the resort to the lakes which typically takes about 4 hours each way, otherwise it is just a short drive from Winter Clove. 30 minutes each way driving

Hudson River & Catskill Point - Home to a scenic park overlooking the Hudson River as well as kayak, canoe and small boat rentals. 30 minutes each way

Hudson River Cruises - Setting sail from either Hudson or Kingston NY, a cruise is the perfect way to relax and take in the natural beauty while admiring the mansions that are synonymous with the Hudson River Valley. More info on Hudson and Kingston can be found below under “Towns of Interest”. Both towns are 40 minutes each way

Delaware & Ulster Railride - From your seat in this historic train you will see some of the most scenic landscapes the Catskills have to offer. 1hour each way

Saugertise Lighthouse - A landmark of the Hudson River this lighthouse was constructed in 1863 to ensure the safe passage of ships, which it still does to this day. Lighthouse tours are available which offer stunning panoramic views of the Hudson River Valley. 30 minutes each way

Pratt Rock - Dubbed “The Mount Rushmore of New York” by Ripleys Believe It Or Not, this series of monuments and carvings is well worth a visit. 40 minutes each way

Historical & Educational

Bronck House - This dutch colonial farm with dwellings dating back to 1663 is now operated as a museum shining light on early colonial farming. 31 minutes each way

Olana - This 1800’s castle is the famed home and studio of Hudson River painter Fredrich Church, the castle is often considered to be his greatest masterpiece. 30 minutes each way

Thomas Cole National Historic Site - The former home of great american artist Thomas Cole now serves as a time capsule showing how life was for one of America’s first great artist. 20 minutes each way

National Baseball Hall of Fame - The Museum and Hall of Fame display artifacts and stories from the all time legends and record holders of the game. For more on Cooperstown see the “Towns of Intersest" section below. 1 hour 40 minutes each way

Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Home - This estate contains “Springwood” which is the life long resident of America’s only 4 term president. The estate is also home to the presidential library and museum as well as stunning grounds and magnificent landscapes. 1 hour each way

Martin Van Burean's Home - The site of “Lindenwald” the home and farm of the 8th President of the United States  is filled with artifacts and stories tailing his progression from local politician to President of the United States. 50 minutes each way

Farmer’s Museum - Learn about farmings role in the development of the country from the colonial state to where we are today. For more info on Cooperstown please see our “Towns of Interest Section” below. 1 hour 40 minutes each way

Firefighters Museum -This treasure trove of artifacts is one of the most complete collections of firefighting memorabilia in the United States. 30 minutes each way

Towns of Interest

Hudson - This 1600’s city got its origins in the whaling industry and served as one of New York’s main ports for whaling expeditions. Today it has a vibrant business district with several renowned restaurants and bars as well as many local antique shops and galleries. 30 minutes each way

Saugertise - Like Hudson this old waling town has turned into a hotspot for antique shops offering several miles of stores and galleries with a few restaurants mixed in. 30 minutes each way 

Kingston - New York’s first capital has a lively waterfront along the hudson river. There are several restaurants, bars and shops overlooking the water. 45 minutes each way 

Cooperstown - Often called the hometown of baseball this Upstate NY town has a main street filled with baseball related shops, galleries, restaurants and bars. In addition to the Hall of Fame Cooperstown is home to Omegang Brewery, Cooperstown Distillery, The Farmers Museum, and Double Day Field. Each July Cooperstown welcomes the legends of Baseball for the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.  1 hour 40 minutes each way
